The Anthon Community Club has yearly contributions from individuals and family members, which is how the club is able to continue the numerous projects and activities that have become traditions within our community.
The membership fee is a contribution of $5.00 per person, or $20.00 per family. If you would like to join us for a year of Community Events, please send your membership fee or contribution to:

* ANTHON, IA 51004Some of the events sponsored by the Anthon Community Club include the holiday celebrations such as the HALLOWEEN FUNHOUSE and JACK-O-LANTERN HUNT, the CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION with SANTA CLAUSE, and the EASTER EGG HUNT. All the activities are provided with NO ADMISSION CHARGE, and often have more than 200 children in attendance at each event.
One of the most special, but least publicized projects that the Community Club takes on each year is the "SANTA SACK" CAMPAIGN. Through this project, the Community Club volunteers purchase gifts such as warm coats, boots, mittens, school supplies, and a a few fun Christmas surprises. These gifts are given to some of the less fortunate kids right here in our community who truly need a little something special.
Additional activities sponsored by the Community Club have included the FALL FESTIVAL, TRACTOR PULL, and the CITY-WIDE RUMMAGE SALES. Perhaps one of the most popular events is the annual KID'S DAY CELEBRATION which includes two days of carnival fun and two parades.
In addition to all these fun projects, the Community Club is always looking for more ideas and new opportunities for the club to contribute to our community. Some of the plans so far for the 2004 year include

*CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION - DECEMBERThe COMMUNITY CLUB MEETINGS are USUALLY held on the FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH. The Club not only welcomes ANYONE, they ENCOURAGE EVERYONE to attend the meetings. They are always looking for new ideas and new energy!

Anthon and the surrounding area communities have many organizations that anyone of any age can get involved with.
